Yes! You can switch between plans at any time from your account settings. When upgrading, you get immediate access to new features. When downgrading, your current features remain active until the end of your billing period.
Is there a free tier?
Yes! The Trailhead plan is completely free forever with 5 scored locations and 1 plan. It's perfect for trying ShutterTime before committing to a paid plan.
What's the difference between Alpine and Summit?
Alpine is designed for enthusiasts who need generous limits (50 locations, 10 plans, 5 trips, 20 favourites). Summit is for professionals who need unlimited everything plus the ability to host photography workshops.
Can I cancel anytime?
Absolutely. There are no lock-in contracts. You can cancel your subscription at any time, and you'll retain access until the end of your billing period.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards including Visa and Mastercard. Payments are processed securely through Stripe.
What happens to my data if I downgrade?
Your locations, plans, and trips remain saved. However, scoring will pause for locations beyond your plan's limit, and you'll need to stay within your new plan's limits to add more.
Is the iOS app really free?
Yes. The ShutterTime iOS app provides all features completely free, with no in-app purchases required. Paid subscriptions are available on the web via Stripe for users who want to support development.
